Świadome chrześcijaństwo jest fundamentem świadomego obywatelstwa – oświadczył były premier Jerzy Buzek. W drugim dniu V Zjazdu Gnieźnieńskiego wziął on udział w debacie okrągłego stołu z udziałem Tadeusza Mazowieckiego, bp. Tadeusza Pieronka i o. Macieja Zięby.

Wzięli w niej udział archimandryta Benedict Ioannou – stały przedstawiciel Patriarchatu w Światowej Radzie Kościołów w Genewie oraz ks. dr Keith Clements – sekretarz generalny Konferencji Kościołów Europejskich.
